Dragonflies Class: Making Easter Gardens

Today, we had a visit from our friends from St. Michael’s church, who came to our classes to tell us the story of why we celebrate Easter. In the story, we learned about a king who rose from the dead and the people celebrated it! This king, Jesus, was buried in a tomb in a garden, so we made an Easter garden all of our own. We used a bed of soil with some plants and bulbs, used a plant pot for a tomb, and lined the garden with a path. We also put in grass seeds, so that when we come back after Easter, our garden will be full of life! The children we captivated by the story, and loved getting messy making the garden. We would like to give a big thanks for the team from St. Michaels for coming to talk to us!
