Winners of Swimming Gala

Today Year 5 and 6 attended the Cluster Swimming Gala at the Rec. The competition was between Southfields Junior school , St Leonards Primary school and  Westrop Primary School. We came first! Newsletter May 2016

Newsletter May Science Week An amazing week with lots of exciting projects taking place across the school. On Friday the children shared their work with the school in a special assembly. The work from science week will go on display during Term 6 around the school and on the website. SAT’s The children in Year 6 did themselves proud in their approach to the SAT’s.

Panther Class – Science Week

Panther class are now woodlice experts! We started the week with a bug hunt in the kitchen garden and found many mini beasts including lots of woodlice. The animals were carefully gathered for further study in the classroom. We then designed an investigation to find out what type of material woodlice preferred for their habitat. During term 4 Westrop pupils took part in Waste week. The theme for this year was E – waste. Eco members started off the week introducing the topic to each class with a class assembly.
