Biscuit Packaging Project

In DT, Kites have been researching, designing, and making their own biscuit packaging. We started by researching different biscuit packaging on the market. In our Maths lesson we learnt about nets and had a go at making some with our partners. When we had chosen the shape of our packaging, it was time to design it. As this term’s host country is Egypt, we designed our own Egyptian themed packaging; lots of us chose to use a pyramid shape. Finally, we made some butter biscuits to go inside our packaging- yum!

 

Phases of the Moon

In Science this term, we have been looking at the Earth and Space. We then made the phases of the moon with Oreos to help us with our learning about why the moon appears to change shape. It’s not often you can eat the results of a science lesson!

 

 

 

In DT last term, Kite Class sewed their very own Christmas stocking!

We started by designing a few different options for our stocking. Once we had chosen our favourite design, we cut out the different pieces of felt that we needed and started to sew. We worked really hard to keep our stitching neat and had to be very patient with rethreading needles! We chose to add pockets, initials or other festive designs to the front of our stockings which looked fantastic.
