Meet the Early Years Governor

"My name is Jacqui and I am the Westrop Governor for Early Years, SEND, Pupil Premium and Music. I have been in post since last September and have been using this year to visit the school, meet the teachers and observe children in their day-to-day activities. I have been really impressed with what I have seen in the Nursery and Reception classes. The teachers are really passionate about what they do, and there has been a lot of hard work put in to ensure a smooth transition through the merge with Highworth Preschool. I have particularly enjoyed hearing about the 'curiosity approach' to play and learning, and how that encourages independence and imagination to flourish."
