Nursery admissions

 Applying For A Place At Westrop Nursery

You can register interest in your child attending Westrop Nursery at any point by filling in an application form (downloadable from the Nursery Pre-Admissions tab).

Alternatively, you can collect a Nursery Admission Form from the school reception or email the Nursery email - nursery@westrop.swindon.sch.uk It will also be necessary for us to see your child's birth certificate 

Funding for Early Years Childcare Provision

 

15 & 30 hours of funded childcare - is now available for eligible working families.

Currently available for children aged 2-4 years.

  • Up to 15 hours of early education over 38 weeks of the year for 2 year olds.
  • Up to 30 hours of early education over 38 weeks for 3-4 year olds, from the term after a child's 3rd Birthday.

To check your eligible for working family funding, please visit the childcare choices website:

www.childcarechoices.gov.uk

Once you have your eligibility code, you still MUST keep renewing it every 3 months, when prompted by HMRC.

 

Universal Funding 3-4 year olds

15 hours of Funded Childcare - For All Families from the term after a child's 3rd Birthday.

2-year-old funding for families receiving some additional forms of government support

Early education for 2 year olds is part of the government agenda to support and improve outcomes of children through early access to high quality early years' settings.

Your 2 year old child may be eligible for up to 15 hours of funded childcare if you meet some of the criteria including; - Income Support, Universal Credit, Child Tax Credit or based on your earnings. This would commence in the term after your child's 2nd birthday.

30 Hour Funding

30 hours childcare for three and four year olds is now available for many working families. To check your eligibility for 30 hour funding please visit the Childcare Choices website:  www.childcarechoices.gov.uk. Once you have your code, you still MUST keep renewing it when prompted by HMRC to remain eligible for 30 hours.

Early Years Pupil Premium Funding

Early years pupil premium offers extra support for 2, 3 and 4- year old children whose parents meet criteria. Swindon Borough Council will check who is eligible and the funding comes directly to Westrop Nursery.

Westrop Nursery will use this additional funding to help support all children with their learning development, enabling us to buy new resources and provide specialist staff training. In the long term this will mean better early years outcomes for all children at Westrop Nursery.

Fees 

Fee paying sessions are available from the day after your child’s 2nd birthday.

Fees will be payable on School Money our online payment system. For your child to keep her/his place at the Nursery, you must pay the fees or we must receive nursery education funding for your child. No additional sessions can be added for your child if you have outstanding payments.

Tax Free Childcare Scheme

The Government Tax Free Childcare scheme which is available to working parents to use for the payment of childcare costs regardless of a child’s age. You can find an explanation of all government childcare support on the new Childcare Choices website: www.childcarechoices.gov.uk

Childcare Vouchers

Westrop Nursery is already set up with numerous childcare voucher organisations. Please check with Nursery Finance Administrator for details.
