Meeting fossil hunters Sally and Nev
Otter class have really enjoyed learning about the famous fossil hunter Mary Anning who lived over 200 years ago. We have also been lucky enough to meet modern day fossil hunters Sally and Nev who shared many of their finds including huge mammoth bones and a T-Rex footprint. They wowed us with their dinosaurs facts and we even got to hold a real meteorite.

Design a dinosaur project!
We had great fun designing our own dinosaurs in DT looking closely at joining techniques and finishing our models to match our initial design. We then wrote about our dinosaurs in English using adjectives in our expanded noun phrases to really paint a picture of what they were like. We set our classroom up as a museum to show off our exhibits and welcomed Mrs Acres and our family to come and take it look. It was a ROARING success!
