Cardiff Castle 24th June 2024

We had a wonderful time at Cardiff Castle and had a hands on experience that really brought our learning to life and made for a memorable experience! Some of the highlights were….riding on the coach, going over the Prince of Wales Bridge into Wales, discovering the stocks, exploring the Keep and spotting all the castle defences, having a tour of the Victorian living quarters and enjoying a workshop run by a knight!

Family Tree Workshop

What a wonderful afternoon celebrating the people who mean the most to us and creating our own Family Trees. It was so special to have our family members join us and so much fun was had by all!

Stuart Lloyd Gould goes nuts at Westrop School!

We were very lucky to have a local author Stuart Lloyd Gould (a former Westrop pupil) visit us to share his fabulous book ‘NUTS’. We loved finding out about all the animal characters including a Squirrel, Otter, Owl, Badger and Fox. Stuart read us the story and then answered some of our questions about what it is like to be an author. We are still enjoying Stuart’s story book as it’s one of our recommended reads in the school library.
