Kangaroo class had a great time exploring the Ashmolean museum in Oxford this week. They got to look at different types of coins and even shared what they found with their classmates. Then we had a great workshop on looking at Anglo Saxon artefacts and trying to work out what they were used for. The children came up with some great ideas. After lunch we had a very quick but fun craft session where we got to make our own broaches and silver coins like the ones we had seen in the Money gallery. Everyone at the museum said that we were a well behaved class that had a lot of knowledge about the Anglo Saxons.
